Frost Plating Works / Ashford and Son
Two companies in one site.
J. Ashford & Son Ltd. was founded in 1850 and used to be manufacturers of rolled gold, hall-marked silver, gilt, sterling silver, high quality cufflinks and tie pins, studs & buttons for men’s dress wear. The company seems to have gone out of business in the late 1990’s and has been closed ever since. It has beautiful tiled walls and is in immaculate condition for its disused age.
Frost Electroplating has been running for over 100 years and still operates today, but in a new location. They are the largest independent supplier of barrel, rack and reel-to-reel strip plating to Britain and around the world.
